The Pinal County Board of Supervisors on Wednesday unanimously voted in Supervisor Todd House (District 5) as chairman and Supervisor Anthony Smith (District 4) vice-chairman.

Their terms become effective January 1 and run to December 31, 2016.

House took office January 2013 and represents the Apache Junction and Gold Canyon region. He served as vice-chairman in 2014. He says he is interested in preserving the county’s parks, trails and open space. Prior to entering government, House worked in the electrical field for 29 years.

Smith also took office in January 2013 and prior served two terms as Maricopa mayor. His district covers an area that includes the Maricopa, Arizona City, Thunderbird Farms, Hidden Valley, Papago Butte, Red Rock, SaddleBrooke, the Ak-Chin Indian Community and the Tohono O’odham Nation. He has focused on an agenda that promotes leadership and economic growth.
