Solar ITC extension approved in the U.S. Senate

Screen Shot 2015-12-18 at 12.43.44 PMShortly after passage in the U.S. House of Representatives, the U.S. Senate has passed an omnibus spending bill which includes extension of the 30% federal ITC. This was the final vote before the bill is signed by U.S. President Obama.

The bill swept the U.S. Senate easily.

Only a few weeks ago, an extension of the U.S. Investment Tax Credit (ITC) seemed unlikely, and solar businesses globally were basing their strategies on the credit stepping down to 10% on January 1, 2017 and expiring entirely for individuals.
