Tempe has settled a lawsuit that clears the way for redevelopment of a high-profile property that could be anchored by a dine-in movie theater.
The project, called Lake Country Village, will include a combination of luxury apartments, restaurants and other businesses at the northwest corner of Baseline Road and Lakeshore Drive, just east of Rural Road. The site is marked by a large, vacated shopping center and once was anchored by a movie theater, but through the years struggled as shops left the location.
