Glendale planning commission to vote on Loop 101 scenic corridor

The Glendale Planning Commission will hold a public hearing next week to consider a proposal to establish a Scenic Corridor along a portion of Loop 101 in the Arrowhead Ranch area.

The meeting is scheduled for Thursday, Feb. 4, at 6 p.m. in the Council Chambers at 5850 W. Glendale Ave.

The proposal calls for the Scenic Corridor to stretch 4.5 miles from the intersection of 51st Avenue and Loop 101, heading southwest to Bell Road in Glendale.

The corridor designation would prohibit billboards and digital billboards from being placed on properties within one-quarter of a mile of either side of the freeway.
