Glendale’s new city manager ready to roll up his sleeves

Kevin Phelps has been doing a lot of bicycle riding around the city over the past three weeks.

Since he and his wife, Lynda, arrived in Glendale Jan. 9, Phelps said the couple has been out nearly a dozen times, usually riding about 10-15 miles.

“It’s really a chance to see the city really well. You go by car, you miss things,” he explained.
