Rep. Steele resigns to run for Congress

Democratic Rep. Victoria Steele of Tucson has resigned her seat in the Arizona House of Representatives as she prepares to hit the campaign trail for Congress full-time.

Steele, who was first elected in 2012 to represent Tucson’s Legislative District 9, is seeking to challenge U.S. Republican Rep. Martha McSally, in Arizona’s 2nd Congressional District.
