Attorney General Brnovich(NEWS RELEASE) With the College Football Playoff National Championship Game one week away, Arizona Attorney General Mark Brnovich is kicking off an anti-human trafficking campaign to be seen by millions in NYC’s Times Square and in Arizona. The campaign utilizes some of the world’s largest billboards to send a strong message to football fans about the consequences of soliciting sex.

“Big sporting events draw pimps and underage prostitution into the state,” said Attorney General Mark Brnovich. “While we welcome college football fans, I want to make it clear that sex trafficking and prostitution will not be tolerated.”

Two giant billboards towering over NYC’s Times Square and a third billboard at Westgate in Glendale feature AG Brnovich’s message – “Paying for sex can get you flagged…for the rest of your life.”

The anti-human trafficking campaign is being sponsored through a generous donation made by BrandedCities.com and is being featured on the NASDAQ billboard, Thomson Reuters billboard, and the Westgate billboard. Education is the key to combating human sex trafficking.  Times Square billboards generate roughly 10 billion brand impressions per year with approximately 131 million viewers.  Times Square is the No. 1 attraction globally, with roughly 57% of the ads shared on social media. Additionally, Arizona welcomed 1.5 million visitors from New York in 2014.

AG Brnovich’s anti-human trafficking message has now launched and is slated to run through January 11, 2016.

The United States Department of Justice considers Phoenix one of the top human trafficking areas in the country. Most victims are forced into sex trafficking before they are 15 years old. No public tax money paid for the public service announcement.
