The state’s water companies have serious infrastructure needs, and customers may have to start paying more on their monthly water bills to finance those needs, panelists at a water event said Tuesday.
Across the state, water and wastewater infrastructure investments and upgrades could cost almost $10 billion over the next two decades, according to the American Society of Civil Engineers’ annual infrastructure report card.
Nationally, infrastructure needs amount to $1.7 trillion over the next 25 years, according to the report card.
