Chandler eyes Marriot Hotel project

The City of Chandler Planning and Zoning Commission considered this week a staff-recommended approval of a proposal to bring a commercial development with hotel and retail/restaurant space at the SEC of Chandler Boulevard and Hearthstone Way.

Situated on four acres, the Towneplace at The Met will fly the Marriot flag. The project would consist with a 109-room, four-story hotel with two, one-story 9,800SF retail/restaurant shop buildings for a total of 57KSF. With a maximum 54’ height, the hotel would have amenities including a swimming pool, sundeck, fire pit, outdoor dining patios, fitness center, lobby, business center, board room and breakfast area.
