Maricopa County manager retiring

Maricopa County Manager Tom Manos is retiring.

Manos announced his retirement in an email to county workers.

He’s been in the job since 2012. Manos said his last day is May 1.

Maricopa County is the fourth-most populous county in the U.S. behind only Los Angeles, Cook (Chicago), Harris (Houston) counties.

Close to 4.1 million persons live in Maricopa County.
