Mayor Lane praises tech, business and tourism at State of the City

Hundreds of community members, elected leaders and city dignitaries gathered at the Fairmont Scottsdale Princess resort Feb. 25 to hear Scottsdale Mayor Jim Lane give the annual State of the City address.

Mayor Lane’s address covered the vast array of amenities the city offers to residents and tourists alike. Amenities such as Scottsdale’s Museum of the West, which has recently partnered with the Smithsonian and TPC Scottsdale, the home of the Waste Management Phoenix Open that brought in a record amount of people at the beginning of the month.

The speech also touched on the Cure Corridor and the growing local technology field.
