About 400 acres on the western edge of Casa Grande is being proposed for rezoning with the purpose of attracting industrial buyers.
Land broker Kirk McCarville said rezoning the parcels is necessary in order to stay “ahead of the game” in a competitive business market. Out-of-state manufacturers often won’t consider land if it’s not “shovel-ready,” he said, so parcels not zoned for industrial uses are at a disadvantage.
