A new report from SafeWise lists Gilbert as the safest city in the Valley, but it’s still sixth among the 44 Arizona cities included. Florence is No. 1.
The report takes data from the most recent (2014) FBI Crime Report and uses population figures to determine per-capita crime statistics in two categories: violent crimes and property crimes.
According to the report, Phoenix ranks 34th of 44 cities, with South Tucson coming in last.
