The same week voters swarmed the Capitol in outrage over problems at the polls, Arizona lawmakers drew a dark money curtain over the state’s election process.
This irony is not delicious. It is rancid.
Unlike what happened at the polls during the presidential preference election, this was no mistake. No accident. No miscalculation.
What Secretary of State Michele Reagan and GOP lawmakers did with Senate Bill 1516 was intentional. They knew the arguments against this bill. They apparently just didn’t care.
