Election season kicked off for city Ccouncil and mayor’s seats on Monday, with Vice Mayor Micah Powell picking up his packet to petition to get on the ballot for the primaries in August.
Powell and fellow Council Member J.W. Tidwell showed up bright and early at 8 a.m. on the first day packets were available so that they could try to get the minimum of 88 signatures required to be on the ballot.
