As construction of Valley Metro’s northwest light rail extension comes to a close, area businesses that toughed out years of disruptions now hope to benefit from the additional track.
The light rail northwest extension is set to open March 19. Officials say the extra light rail miles and three new stops will serve an additional 5,000 daily riders in one of the area’s most “transit-dependent populations.”
