Woman enters Pinal sheriff’s race

A veteran with more than three decades of experience at the Pinal County Sheriff’s Office has returned to Arizona to seek that department’s top job, shaking up the race.

Kaye Dickson, who left Arizona for Columbus, Ohio, last spring to head Franklin County Animal Care and Control, has returned to the state she has called home since she was 18 in an effort to become the first woman elected Pinal County sheriff.
