The City of Peoria hosted 81 key investors and developers to showcase investment opportunities within the city and available public-private partnerships objectives. City officials expect the forum, Invest Peoria, AZ Smart, to generate competing developer bids in the coming months.

The forum, based on real estate development, business attraction, and investment potential in Peoria, is an economic development initiative of Mayor Cathy Carlat that she introduced in her first year in office. Invest Peoria, AZ Smart was created to reveal the market and business advantages that Peoria has to reach its economic development.
