Pinal County Supervisor Cheryl Chase and Economic Development Manager Tim Kanavel met last month with foreign developers researching investment opportunities in the East Valley and Pinal County.
Chase and Kanavel attended a luncheon April 29 facilitated by an East Valley Realtor and developer that included an aerial tour of north-central Pinal County.
“Supervisor Chase and I both explained to them during lunch the many great assets of the county ranging from the hard assets, such as railroads, freeways and power infrastructure, to our skilled and available workforce,” Kanavel said in a statement. “We also discussed the long-range vision of our county leadership and how it could benefit their investment in Pinal County.”
In an interview Tuesday, Kanavel said the investors asked not to be identified, but said they were from the “southeast” part of the world. When asked if that meant Asia, he said “yes.”
