Twenty lawmakers didn’t miss a single vote this year – far fewer than last year’s 35 who had perfect voting attendance in the historically short 2015 session.
This year’s daily attendance rate dropped from last year’s as well, as the 2016 session dragged on 28 days longer than last year’s 89-day session.
In 2015, more than half of the Legislature didn’t miss a single day of work, though some of those 49 lawmakers with perfect attendance did miss floor votes. This year, only 29 lawmakers showed up every day the Legislature gaveled in.
