Buckeye a boomtown for new-home sales, ranking 4th in the Valley in ’15

Buckeye landed among the top five Maricopa County cities in new-home sales in 2015, and the city of 61,000 appears to show strong buyer interest again this year.

Buckeye ranked fourth with 162 more new-home sales in 2015 than in 2014, an increase of 20 percent. And in the first quarter of this year, Buckeye homebuilders sold 228 new homes, up from 154 at this time last year, according to Street Scout Home Values, an annual analysis of metro Phoenix’s housing market done with The Information Market.

The only hotter spots for new-home sales were Mesa, Chandler and Peoria, respectively.
