Construction projects could improve Glendale job picture

The economic upturn continues in Glendale as the planning commission approved two projects that will bring numerous new jobs to the city.

First, they approved MorningStar of Glendale, an assisted living, memory care, and independent-living facility that will be developed on eight acres of land near 67th and Olive avenues.

“We have a project opened in Northern Glendale in the Arrowhead area that is similar to this project,” said Matt Turner, chief financial and development officer for MorningStar. “This project includes independent-living facilities casitas, which is a great addition and makes it different from the other location.”
