Gov. Doug Ducey today vetoed legislation that would have tilted the balance of power in favor of developers and away from local governments in some special taxing districts.
The measure, HB2568, was a top priority for House Speaker David Gowan this session.
In a veto letter, Ducey said he is a strong advocate for development and economic growth, but that he is concerned the bill lacks sufficient protections for taxpayers.
