Gender, marital status affect home values, survey says

ISingle men owners have gained $10,000 (16 %) more in home value since purchase; housing gender gap widens with more years of home ownership.

Homes owned by single men on average are valued 10% more and have appreciated $10,112 (16%) more since purchase than homes owned by single women. This congruity comes from an analysis released today by RealtyTrac.
