Technology has permeated just about every aspect of our lives, and the home is no exception. In addition to WiFi and solar panels, a whole host of technology is now available to be incorporated in today’s new homes—and buyers are willing to pay extra to have it, according to a recent survey conducted by John Burns Real Estate Consulting. In a recent Homesphere webinar, Mollie Carmichael, a principal with Irvine-based JBREC, detailed the tech features for which buyers will pay extra.
“What do they want?” asked Carmichael. “Everybody wants comfort, security, health, clean air and time with family—it’s all about home.”
