Peoria eyes mixed-use development

The Peoria City Council will consider at its May 17 meeting a request from Heritage Communities to rezone 23.42 acres of land near the SWC of 67th Avenue and Happy Valley Road to make way for a mixed-use development called Terrazza Center.

The project would entail commercial retail and dining, a mix of commercial and office buildings, a possible urgent care facility, and a 116-bed assisted living facility to fly under Heritage’s Orchard Pointe banner. Heritage and Telis Commercial Real Estate first announced their plans to construct Orchard Pointe at Terrazza in July 2015.
