Prescott city manager resigns, hopes to stay on as regional programs director

After about five years on the job, Prescott City Manager Craig McConnell plans to leave the city’s top management job.

In a news release and memo to the Prescott City Council Friday afternoon, May 13, McConnell announced that he had given 60-days notice of his resignation, which will be effective July 12.

Along with agreeing to stay on after that for the transition to a new manager, McConnell told the council that he would like to return to his prior position as regional programs manager within the city manager’s office.
