Six plan to challenge four incumbents for Prescott Valley Town Council seats

The Prescott Valley Tribune contacted ten candidates for the upcoming election where four seats are open. Several seated council members are running again as incumbents: Lora Lee Nye, Mary Mallory, Rick Anderson, and Marty Grossman. The Tribune has asked all ten candidates four questions and will run the incumbents’ answers next week.

Nomination paperwork and at least 244 valid signatures must be filed with the town clerk by 5 p.m. on June 1. The primary council election takes place Aug. 30; the general election is Nov. 8. Any candidate receiving a majority of all votes cast in the primary election is declared elected without running in the general election. Council terms are for four years.
