Phoenix employees make 3 percent less than the national average wage

According to Bureau of Labor Statistics data released this week, workers in the Phoenix area take home 3 percent less in wages than average across the country.

Numbers that were made available Tuesday showed that the average employee in the Phoenix metropolitan area earned $22.45 an hour last May compared to the U.S. average of $23.23 an hour.
