Redevelopment plans could cut prominent golf course in half

The owners of a prominent Phoenix golf course are pondering redeveloping the property and cutting the course from 18 to nine holes.

Texas-based Arcis Golf owns the 164-acre, 7,078-yard Raven Golf Club course near South Mountain at Baseline Road and 32nd Street.

Arcis and New Jersey based Ridgewood Real Estate Partners are looking at cutting the Raven course down to nine holes and building a new single-family residential development on part of the course.
