Arizona’s Sun Corridor megalopolis is one year closer to a $157.5 million expansion between Phoenix and Tucson with plans to widen the last set of two-lane stretches of Interstate 10 to three lanes between the two cities.
“We’re going to widen the last set of stretches between Phoenix and Tucson to three lanes in each direction,” said John Halikowski, director of the Arizona Department of Transportation.
ADOT has shortlisted three groups for the upcoming Loop 202 South Mountain extension, which will connect Interstate 10 in the West Valley to the freeway in the East Valley.
