With active efforts to incorporate on the books, Pinal County is moving forward with an area plan for San Tan Valley that will encompass roads, infrastructure and more.
The Pinal Board of Supervisors on Wednesday got the highlights of the 21⁄2-year plan, which gets started with the assembly of stakeholders into different committees and subcommittees. Planning Manager Steve Abraham said the boundaries for what will be included as part of the area plan have yet to be finalized — that’s another early step in the process — but said he anticipates it will encompass more than 60 square miles of private and publicly held land.
