The City of Phoenix Planning and Development Department will hear a request to rezone a 412.05-acre site located at the NWC of Deer Valley Road and Black Mountain Boulevard from S-1 (Ranch or Farm Residence) to R-2, R1-10, R1-6, R1-8, and S-1 Planned Community District (PCD) for a Master Planned Community to be called Sky Crossing.
The site is currently vacant and undeveloped State Trust Land. To the north is the National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona, to the northeast is an equestrian facility and single family residential homes. To the south is the Reach 11 Sports Complex and Regional Park, Pinnacle High School and vacant undeveloped land. To the east and southeast are single-family residential homes and to the west is the City of Phoenix Cave Creek Water Reclamation Facility.
