Residents disapprove of potential development near 67th, Thunderbird

One of the main reasons Karen Michael and her family built a home and have resided in the Crownpoint community of the city was because of its low density, “unique” for the southern area of Peoria.

But a potential residential complex near her home has raised concerns about how it will impact surrounding neighborhoods and schools.

She and other residents near the intersection of 67th Avenue and Thunderbird Road attended a community meeting June 28 to voice their concern about the possible new development.
