Burns, Tobin, Dunn win GOP’s Arizona Corporation Commission primary

Robert Burns, Andy Tobin and Boyd Dunn have won the five-way Republican primary for three seats on the Arizona Corporation Commission, according to the Associated Press.

Arizona has five elected commissioners who each represent the entire state for 4-year terms. Three will be elected this year, and the other two seats will be on the ballot in 2018. The position pays $79,500 annually to the officials, who set utility rates and policies and regulate railroad crossings and securities.
