The Casa Grande Dispatch is posing a series of questions to the candidates in the weeks leading up to the election and publishing their responses. Some of the answers are edited for length or context.
This week’s question asks the candidates their thoughts on making improvements to the city’s downtown region. Casa Grande Main Street, a local nonprofit organization, announced this summer it would discontinue its monthly “First Friday” events, meant to draw residents downtown during evening hours.
The Dispatch asked the candidates whether the city should be more involved in revitalizing the downtown area.
