Chandler City Council incumbent leads voting

Nora Ellen outpaced a crowded field Tuesday and appeared on her way to winning a second term on the Chandler City Council, while three-time candidate Sam Huang also was positioned to win a seat, according to unofficial election results.

It remained unclear whether any of the remaining six candidates would secure enough votes in the primary to win the third open seat outright and avoid a November runoff election.
