The elephant remained in the corner of the room at the Sonoran Plaza in Sun City Grand until the very end of the Surprise District 2 City Council candidate forum Wednesday night.
Forum questions were submitted to the Surprise Regional Chamber of Commerce and asked by moderator Raymond Grim to incumbent Jim Biundo and challenger Jim Hayden. Per chamber policy, only issue-oriented questions are allowed.
But in his closing statement, Biundo addressed Mayor Sharon Wolcott’s support of Hayden as well as related newspaper articles and letters to the editor.
