Police officers, Diamondbacks replace Phoenix girl’s stolen backpack

A 10-year-old girl whose backpack was stolen in a vehicle burglary has been made whole thanks to two Phoenix police officers and the Arizona Diamondbacks.
Theresa Sandvig had just picked up her daughter, 10-year-old Aleksia, from school Aug. 17 and the two were eating dinner at a Phoenix restaurant when someone burglarized their vehicle. Aleksia’s backpack was taken, along with other belongings.
