On Aug. 30, Surprise residents will decide who will represent them at City Hall for the next four years.
Voters in three districts will either choose to keep things the same and support incumbents, or place a new, first-time candidate on the council. Mayor Sharon Wolcott is also up for re-election, but is running unopposed. We are featuring the competitive races.
Because only two candidates are running in each district, all elections will be determined in the Aug. 30 primary.
