Casa Grande mayor-elect ready to get to work

Craig McFarland says he’s ready to jump right into being the city’s next mayor.

The retired businessman ran unopposed for the job in Tuesday’s primary election and came away with over 4,000 votes, according to preliminary results from Pinal County.

This means he won’t have to proceed to the general election in November, giving him more time to prepare before filling Mayor Bob Jackson’s shoes.
