Christian Brothers Automotive is one step closer to building a new facility in Scottsdale after it gained the approval of the city council during an Aug. 31 meeting.
The automotive company is seeking to build an auto-repair facility on a 1.33-acre site, which sits in a utility easement at 11416 E. Desert Cove Ave.
Scottsdale City Council voted 6-1 to approve a zoning district map amendment and a conditional use permit.
Christian Brothers was seeking a Zoning District Map Amendment because of a development plan that was already in place that zoned the area as highway commercial, planned community district. The approval of the amendment removed all zoning stipulations on the site that limit the use of the land on the site to parking and open space use.
