[COLUMN] APS comes after Bob Burns for daring to ask questions

Whoa. I knew that Arizona Public Service didn’t want us to know the lengths to which it apparently went to pick its own regulators.

I knew that executives of the state’s largest utility would prefer that nobody see how far its reach extends into the Arizona Corporation Commission.

Turns out they really, really, REALLY don’t want anyone to know whether they secretly spent $3.2 million to ensure the election of friendly regulators in 2014.
