Homebuilders in Phoenix embrace energy efficiency as demand increases

The greater Phoenix area is one of the most energy-efficient cities in the nation when it comes to new homes, and the move is being driven by the features homebuyers want.

Increasingly, builders have adopted greener stances in the region, and now products hitting the market are among the most energy efficient in the country, according to the Home Builders Association of Central Arizona.
