Maracay Homes buys 37 Mesa homesites

Maracay Homes, a wholly owned company of the TRI Pointe Group (NYSE:TPH), purchased 37 homesites for $2.1 million. The sites are located near the Superstition Mountains in north Mesa, Arizona, the homebuilder announced Friday.

The parcel, situated east of Brown and Crimson Roads, two miles east of the Loop 202, is zoned and pre-platted for 1/3 acre, oversized lots on 18.9 acres. Maracay currently is completing the engineering and final plat for the lots with plans to develop the property into a new, single-family neighborhood scheduled to begin welcoming residents by late 2017, said Tom Lemon, Maracay Homes’ vice president of land acquisitions and development.
