Biggs beats Jones for CD5 seat by 9 votes

State Sen. Andy Biggs won the 5th Congressional District Republican primary by just 9 votes when final unofficial results were posted early Saturday, triggering an automatic recount.

In a stunning comeback, Biggs seized the lead from businesswoman Christine Jones after the final 544 ballots out of 85,577 cast were tallied around 2 a.m. Saturday.
