Two new hotels coming to Gilbert

A new six-story, 107-unit Home2 Suites hotel will be built in Gilbert at Val Vista Drive and Market Street under plans presented to the city planning commission by developer KWB. Upon completion, that hotel will be followed by a five-story, 103-unit Candlewood Suites on the same 5.4-acre site.

Home2 Suites is a general service hotel under the Hilton Hotels flag and generally targets tourists and business travelers. Candlewood is an IHG Hotels brand and serves extended-stay travelers. The two facilities will share guest amenities and parking.
