5 on shortlist for Scottsdale city manager

Five men picked from a list of 89 applicants will be interviewed by Scottsdale City Council members on Nov. 9-10 for city manager.

They are, says a published report, Queen Creek Town Manager John Kross; Scottsdale City Treasurer/Chief Financial Officer Jeffrey Nichols; Odessa (Texas) Assistant City Manager Konrad Hildebrandt; former Sunnyvale (California) City Manager Gary Luebbers and ex-Corpus Christi (Texas) City Manager Ronald Olson.

The job was left open when Fritz Behring was let go because of health problems.
