A new 120,000-square-foot office building and 160-room Marriott hotel could be coming to 28th Street and Camelback Road after developers from Las Vegas and Tucson bought a 3.6-acre property for $17.5 million.

Las Vegas-based developer LaPour Partners Inc. and Tucson-based Holualoa Cos. bought properties at 2801 and 2845 E. Camelback Road in Phoenix.

The seller is an entity called Daily Double LLC. Turf Paradise horse racing track owner Jerry Simms is the corporate manager of that group.
