Campaign bluster or commitment, fiddling with NAFTA would plunge Arizona into deep recession

Bluster or real economic impact is the question when it comes to the Arizona economy and policies of President-elect Donald Trump.

Campaign promises to “renegotiate” the North American Free Trade Agreement could directly plummet Arizona’s gross domestic product into negative numbers.

While actually pulling out of NAFTA would require the president-elect to obtain Congressional approval, there are other steps that could be deployed that would interfere with Arizona’s economic growth.
